Movies and more with multimedia access  Userful Desktop features full multimedia capabilities. Users can view full screen online movie clips, or play and remix their own audio CDs. It's easy to transfer files to and from digital cameras and digital audio players, and record CDs and DVDs.
Computer-based training and educational applications are also included. With optional audio headsets, each user can listen to audio, or score their own music privately.
Multilingual and accessibility support  Userful Desktop addresses your multi-cultural community's needs. Over 40 languages are supported including Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi and Korean.
Using Userful Manager (formerly Network Personalizer), administrators select which languages to offer on the Welcome Screen, then users just select their language from the list offered. Userful Desktop supports character input in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Hindi, Arabic and many other languages. Userful Desktop also features a "Large Print" mode. It increases font sizes and colour contrast to enable visually-impaired users to work with ease on any station. Userful Desktop's most popular applications are designed with accessibility in mind.
Users have access to portable media  Your patrons have full access to portable media on multi-user and single-user stations. You don't need to worry about viruses or other security threats, and users can download and upload files at any time.
On multi-user stations, a USB-powered hub at each station ensures patrons can use their USB keys as well as many cameras and MP3 players. Each user can also use the central CD/DVD and floppy drives. and their files remain secure and private. If you want, you can also have a USB-powered floppy drive at each station.
