Userful Manager™ (formerly Network Personalizer) is an easy-to-use admin web site that gives you super-fine control over your patron experience. The entire look, feel and functionality of each desktop is yours to define -- it’s up to you what your patrons can and can’t do on the computers. And you don’t need to fiddle with each workstation to get this control; it’s all built into Userful Manager.

It’s easy to get started. You can select from pre-made desktop options (a kids station, an OPAC station, an Internet and Office station) then further customize each session. Or you can use our wizard to design your own desktop from scratch.

Userful Desktops call home regularly

Every Userful Desktop calls back to our server every four hours and downloads any changes and updates. Whenever you make a change to your desktops, a click of a button will push those changes out and they’ll take effect within four hours.

Changed your mind? No problem!

If you have ten stations deployed for Catalog Only then decide two of them should be Internet Express, you don't need to reimage, test, and redeploy the stations. Simply log on to the Userful Manager site and make the change in a matter of minutes. The next time your stations call home, they’ll update themselves.

All the statistics you need

The admin site also includes a full statistics feature. It collects high-level patron usage stats on number of sessions, length of sessions, type of sessions, and much more. You can pull statistics based on day, branch or even station with the Usage Report feature.

Slice and dice your reports. Use them to make decisions about how to improve your patron experience. They're perfect for reporting to the Library board or town council about the importance of your public computers to the community.
